You guys should start something like patron but rather than directly giving waves to patrons donors can lease their waves and generated waves get donated to project they want to give.

Yes. They can use thus code for that purpose https://github.com/cloudpatron/cloudpatron or even waves team themselves can do this as they do have waves start up projects where they fund new ideas/projects based on Waves platform
